Wednesday, November 9, 2022, 12pm – 2pm, Global Lounge, City Campus NTU Islamic Society – Global Lounge drop-in event The events aim to bring awareness of Islamophobia and its impact on members of the Muslim community, dispel the one-sided views that can emerge, and celebrate Islam and the contributions of Muslims in the UK. ![]() NTU and NTSU have a varied programme of events for students and staff to mark Islamaphobia Month 2022. IAM aims to deconstruct and challenge the stereotypes about Islam and Muslims as well as highlight and celebrate the positive contributions that British Muslims make to our society. ![]() IAM was co-founded in 2012 by Muslim Engagement and Development (MEND) and other British organisations. ![]() Islamophobia Awareness Month highlights the threat of Islamophobic hate crimes and showcases the positive contributions of British Muslims to society.
